Institute of EconomicsThe Institute of Economics was established in 1999 and was formed by uniting
the department of Accountancy and Finance and the department of Economics. It is
one of the oldest economic institutes in the Russian Far East.
The Institute of Economics was the first institute in Vladivostok to begin
training specialists in the following specialities: Marketing, Computer Sciences
in Economics, Statistics.
Candidates and Doctors of Sciences. To deliver specialized courses the
institute invites leading experts from institutes of the Far Eastern Branch of
the Russian Academy of Sciences, specialists from governmental organizations and
large companies. Highly qualified teaching staff, modern equipment and new
training techniques give an opportunity to train universal specialists to work
both on foreign and domestic markets. The institute also has the Center for
Economic Research and Consulting and the Center for Marketing Research.
International relations has been actively developed at the institute for the
last years. Students have an opportunity to study in China. The Institute
carries out regular scientific contacts under the agreements concluded with the
Osaka Prefecture University, Changchun Taxation Institute. Specialists of the
Institute of Economics actively participate in the realization of project under
the PSUE and United Nations cooperation on "UN – Habitat" program.
Scientists of the Institute make the grants’ researches. For instance,
"Financial Accounting in the GAAP System" (grant of the Eurasia Foundation),
"Infrastructure Improvement of the Regional Food Market" (grant of the Ministry
of Education of Russia), "Modeling Scripting Forecasts of Primorskiy Territory
Economy under the Influence of the Contiguous Countries" (grant of the
International Scientific Foundation) etc.
Students have their practice at the Far Eastern industrial enterprises.
Moreover students of specialties may have their practice in China: at
Heilonjiang University, Heilonjiang Oriental Institute (Harbin), Changchun
Taxation Institute (Changchun).
The Institute trains specialists qualified in the following specialties:
Accounting, Analysis and Audit, Applied Computer Science (in Economics), Economy
and Business Administration (at branches), Commerce, Marketing, and Statistics. |
