Scientific - Research Institute of Economic Research of High TechnologiesThe university has formed scientific schools, and the Economic Research School is the oldest one. Long-term close contacts with the leading institutions of the Academy of Sciences and with the other economic higher educational institutions of Russia played a great role in the Institute establishment. At present the School has become famous due to the works of such professors as V.G.Belkin, A.D.Nesterenko, B.A.Balaban, B.A.Osipov, V.V.Sokolenko, I.M.Smoleichuk, and Y.D. Schmidt. The second significant PSUE scientific school is famous for its achievements in the field of new food and its production technologies. Among the leading experts in this field the following scientists can be named: doctors of sciences T.K.Kalenik, M.V. Palagina, A.B. Kosolapov; candidates of technical sciences V.P.Dedukhina, V.I. Bazilevich, Zh.P. Pavlova. The scientists develop new kinds of food including children food and treatment – prophylactic food based on Far Eastern raw materials. New sea mollusk canned food, tonic syrups and tea compositions based on wild-growing raw material, pastes, mayonnaise, tinned vegetables and many other kinds of biologically valuable and very tasty food products were developed by our scholars. Original methods of food quality test were created. The university specialists annually receive up to 8 Russian Patents for their developments, participate in international scientific symposiums and conferences, have honorable diplomas of the All-Russia and regional exhibitions. The scientific school based on the International Institute of Finance, Credit and Banking is successfully developing. The director of the institute, doctor of economic sciences V.V. Rudko-Selivanov, doctors of economic sciences V.V. Savaley and L.I.Votintseva make significant contribution to the school development. Annually the specialists of the institute organize international bank congresses, publish scientific papers and monographs. The young scientific school of computer technologies and mathematical modeling is rapidly developing. Nowadays the university has more than ten modern computer rooms, local network and access to Internet. Doctors of physical and mathematical sciences V.V. Katrakhov, T.P. Kilmatov, Doctor of economic sciences Y.D. Shmidt significantly contributed to this field of development. The Institute of Economic Research and High Technologies determined the following activity purposes: carrying out fundamental, searching and applied research and development of priority trends in the science and technology in accordance with the primary scientific fields and profiles of training specialists at PSUE; improvement of the research scientific and technical level and effectiveness, quality of training specialists for various branches of the national economy; applying research results and new technologies in the Far East Region economy and production. |
