18.10.2009PSUE’s delegation, headed by the Head of the International Department and Vice-president of the sport club “Taekwon-Do-PSUE” V.V. Grishchenko and head coach of “Taekwon-Do-PSUE” Pan Chol Nam, took part in the 16th World Taekwon-Do Championships held in St. Petersburg, Russia under invitation of the President of the ITF. The championship was held from 12-17 October 2009 and gathered more than 1000 athletes from 81 countries from all five continents.
At the ITF Congress, held on Oct 13 during the championships, the current president of the ITF, Professor Chang Ung was unanimously reelected to a new four-year term.
Vice-president of the sport club “Taekwon-Do-PSUE”, V.V. Grishchenko was elected as a member of the presidium of the Asian Taekwon-Do Federation. During his interviews with presidents of the National Taekwon-Do Federations in the USA, New Zealand, Japan and the PDRK, questions of cooperation among athletes from these countries and athletes of “Taekwon-Do-PSUE”.
PSUE’s delegation met with the ITF President, professor Chang Ung, and discussed the sport club’s future development and prospects. A visit by the president was agreed upon during the year 2010. |
